Migrating from WCAG 1.0 to WCAG 2.0

A useful document which has been prepared to help web developers and others who are familiar with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Version 1.0 (WCAG 1.0) to map their current knowledge and practices with the WCAG 2.0 W3C Candidate Recommendation of 30 April 2008.

Functional Accessibility Evaluator

The Functional Accessibility Evaluator is a useful accessibility tool that evaluates the HTML code of any page against best practice accessibility and usability. However, as with any automated testing tool, it does not replace manual testing!

Website uses camera for navigation by hand gestures

A Birmingham digital design agency Clusta has developed a groundbreaking website that can be navigated through hand gestures alone. The technology, which is being unveiled in a new site for leading U.S. advertising agency Publicis & Hal Riney, allows users with the aid of a webcam to move through the site with only movements of the hand.

Towns triumph in broadband tests

Thinkbroadband.com analysed speed tests from the last two months in 6,000 locations and found the average speed to be 3.2 megabits per second (Mbps). The survey found that broadband users in London can go online at average speeds nearly twice those in Wales and Northern Ireland!
