Internet World’s 6th exhibition took place on Tuesday 27, Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 April. It is one of Europe’s main events for digital marketing and online professionals. More than 12,000 marketing, IT, eCommerce, digital and web development professionals visited the exhibition at Earls Court 2 for three days of superior learning, networking and solution-sourcing.
There were 300 exhibitors, with 200 seminars. Over 14,444 visitors attend the free education sessions in 6 themed seminar theatres covering digital marketing, content management, eCommerce, connectivity & hosting and social media & 2.0.
Robin Christopherson, Head of AbilityNet Accessibility Services presented with Jonathan Hassel Head of Audience Experience & Usability, BBC Future Media & Technology. Their joint presentation vividly demonstrated some of the key challenges and opportunities of website accessibility facing the designers and developers of tomorrow. It focused in particular on the BBC’s excellent online accessibility resource for disabled surfers 'My Web My Way' inspired by AbilityNet’s ‘My Computer, My Way’ www.abilitynet.org.uk/myway.
