"We are grateful to AbilityNet for providing courses on assistive technology which have been tailored specifically, with great care towards the needs of the staff and students at this institution. They have been a pleasure to work with, have kept in touch, and followed through on all requests made and gone the ‘extra mile’ at all times" Disability Equality Training Organiser, University of Cambridge
"Very helpful re assessing learner needs and looking at improving our systems" Margaret White of SCOLA
As a charity a core value at AbilityNet is to put our clients’ interests first, so whatever you need, or whatever your budget, we’ll do our best to help.
We understand that using technology isn’t just about getting the kit – you may need help in selecting it and in using it within the national curriculum. And of course there is always a need for ongoing technical support.
It’s likely you will need some help to find the right solution for children in your care. We’re here to help with a menu of services you can pick and choose from, secure in the knowledge that our advice will be impartial, practical and based on real experience.
Our strengths
AbilityNet’s strength lies in the enormous and wide-ranging experience of our staff, and in our flexible approach. We often deliver bespoke solutions and have developed courses and training specifically for educational professionals.
Our support and advice to people with all types of limiting conditions as well as our assistance to professionals, employers and statutory bodies is unique in the UK and probably the world.
