“Local CAPacity” - Supporting local SEN services
“Local CAPacity” offers Local Authorities, PCTs and other bodies a comprehensive range of services to support their provision of assistive technology services for children and young people with special needs.
Technology, when appropriately adapted, has huge potential to improve the learning and life opportunities for students with disabilities. Local professionals are fundamental to ensuring that the best ICT support is in place. However, keeping up to date with the huge range of assistive technology can be very difficult – both in terms of having access to the equipment and knowing how to use it. AbilityNet can help!
We can support local professional teams by providing external expertise, support and training as well as a loan library of the type of equipment required by local teams to continue to help children fulfil their academic potential and achieve a
greater degree of independence.
The needs of each organisation differ considerably and our flexible packages detailed overleaf can accommodate this. Prices start at £1,000 and authorities can join the scheme at any point through the year.
