Internet user initiatives, info needed
25/09/2006
Please would you get in touch if you know of a successful initiative to encourage disabled people or disadvantaged people to use the Internet, particularly for government online services?
Your suggestions are wanted for research that’s looking at how to make the Internet have better, more inclusive “reach”. It’s research in progress at City University, London, together with the Institute for Community Inclusion at the University of Massachusetts-Boston in the US. Please do let us know about any successful initiatives. It’s a way to contribute to trying to build the Internet’s effectiveness for hard-to-reach people. Hope to hear from you!
City University has become a regular researcher of “new media” communication needs and wishes of disabled people.
