Adapting Technology - Changing Lives
AbilityNet is a national charity helping disabled adults and children use computers and the internet by adapting and adjusting their technology.
Specially Adapted Toys and Games for Christmas
Many children with special needs are prevented from enjoying the toys and games their peers take for granted because their disability simply won’t allow them to operate the controls. Now parents of kids with physical problems which limit their motor skills and dexterity can make Christmas special with a new collection of specially adapted toys from Excitim Limited, called Dream-Products.
With prices ranging from £34 to £200, Dream-Products will make this an unforgettable Christmas for many disabled children who will be able to access the toys they love, perhaps for the first time.
Find out more about the specially adapted toys and how to purchase.
New Year’s Day Swim
On New Year’s Day Jane Tabor, an AbilityNet trustee, will be plunging into the English Channel (average temperature 10 Celsius) for a New Years day swim to raise money for AbilityNet.
She aims to raise £1,250 which will be used to assess the needs, and provide adaptive IT solutions, for 5 disabled people.
Find out how you can support Jane, AbilityNet and in turn people with disabilities.
